Kathy Eberly was born in a small town in Central Wisconsin. She gained her appreciation for reading from her grandfather and her mother; voraciously reading everything she could get her hands on. She began writing short stories in elementary school and that continued writing poetry as well for her high school paper. After graduation from high school she continued to write, occasionally submitting her short stories to magazines only to be rejected. She continued writing until she became a mother during the 80's. She revived her writing desire in the 90's while working at a clinic. She would be asked to submit cover poems for the monthly employee newsletter, which she did until the job ended.
Still, being a mother was a top priority to her after her relationship with God. She would raise two boys and a daughter. When her last child left home, Kathy decided to again pursue her writing career. Her heart has always been in the fictional, specifically romantic fictional genre, yet she felt the Lord leading her to a new project; a book about Christian women who had influenced her in her life. With the encouragement of her supervisor at work as well as other friends and family, Extraordinary Life Lessons from Ordinary Christian Women was born. In November of 2009, her dream became a reality as Extraordinary Life Lessons from Ordinary Christian Women was published.
Kathy has learned much during this process and says that she is continuing to learn as she goes through the steps of marketing her first non-fiction work. She says that she knows God has a purpose for all He leads us in and she is ready for whatever He has for her. She clings to the verse in Lamentations 3:22-23--"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed. Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness!"
