Personalize Your Kid's Easter Basket These 4 Unique Ways

by Bianca Bowman(43)

As you plan your kid's Easter baskets, let them know you put it together especially for each child by creating personalized Easter baskets this year. It also helps keep baskets straight when you have multiple kids and don't want them fighting over who is eating candy out of which basket.

There are several ways you can personalize baskets, and these are just four ideas to get your creativity flowing.

1. Personalized Easter Basket Liner

Place a personalized basket liner in each basket before filling them up. The liner can be a simple piece of fabric cut to nest inside the basket and fold over the edge, where you can sew, tape, or glue it to the basket. There are several ways to personalize the liner. Buy fabric in the child's favorite color for an easy idea. For somthing more specific, pick a fabric with one of the child's favorite hobbies or animals. You can also embroider the child's name on the fabric in a prominent location.

2. Name Eggs

Rather than personalizing the Easter basket itself, or in addition to that, personalize it through the contents of the basket, namely, the Easter eggs. Spell the child's name with letters on Easter eggs arranged across the top or front of the basket. Start with plastic eggs and paint or glue a letter on each one. After filling Easter baskets, arrange the eggs in order across the top of the basket so the kid notices her name right away.

3. Personalized Gifts

Choose Easter basket gifts based on what your child is liking these days. For example, if you have a kid who is into gardening, put some seed packets, gardening tools, and gardening gloves in her basket to personalize it. For a teen, make a beach basket with sunglasses, sunscreen, and flip flops. You can even choose a type of basket that fits with the personalized theme, like a bucket for gardening or a mesh bag for beach gear.

4. Favorite Candies

Kids of all ages have favorite candies, so keep these in mind when you are purchasing the candy for their Easter baskets. For example, if you have one kid who likes chocolate and another who loves sour jelly beans, use each child's favorite as the main goodies in his basket. You can also make homemade treats, such as brownies, giant cookies, or cookie cutter chocolates, and write each child's name on his treats with icing or decorator's gel.

A kid's Easter basket is not only filled with goodies, it is filled with moments that will be wonderful memories through life and personalized holiday gifts will always be treasured. It is well worth the extra bit of effort to make the most out of this opportunity.

Bianca Bowman searches the internet for gifts with free personalization which can make the task of creating a personalized Easter basket inexpensive, quick and easy. Purchasing reasonably priced, personalized holiday gifts at Lillian Vernon will not only make the recipient feel special, it is definitely something for you to celebrate.
