Place Cards
by Jeffery Nevil(136)
When organising a wedding or event, the seating and where to place everyone is always a bit of a nightmare but with the use of place cards and correct organisation you can avoid this faux pas easily as there is always an Edna that hates a Cheryl and a Steve trying to get with a Adam and avoiding these and implementing them can make the whole event go a lot better and to ensure everyone has the best possible time making your day that little bit brighter. Though when choosing place cards what do you go with? There are so many options these days as the wedding trade booms and new and wild creations are being manufactured and with the ban being lifted on anyone who wants to get married it is only increasing day by day.
Choosing the right place card can help to say a lot about your style of wedding and everyone loves that little personal touch of seeing their name on a fancy piece of card telling them where their seat is in the whole grand schemes of the party. That level of care is always appreciated by guests so they are a great thing to invest in.
You can get them in any kind of colour you wish as they are simply card and can be dyed to any tone or shade you like. Helping to create a more unified atmosphere to your wedding as colour plays a very vital part in the organisation of an event. The next step to think of is font and calligraphy because again there are literally hundreds of different styles to go with, do you go for the elegant feathery approach, hard strong and regal or something a bit different individual and fun? Well that all very much depends on you and what type of party celebration you intend to have but it is something to think about as you can add a very large artistic flare to your place cards with very little effort.
The third thing to think of is design. You can get elaborate finely cut out card with an intercut artistic element integrated into them...that was a mouthful, moving on...like butterfly's, snowflakes, flowers etc. The other thing you can think about in the design process is what will be their function as you can get the simple folded card, ones that attach to champagne glasses and wine glasses, one that hold food within them and even tiny little blackboards. So the possibilities are endless and if you can think of a whole new design a lot of companies will be happy to point you in the right direction.
Place cards may only last the meal but some do like to take it home as a memento towards the day so putting that little touch of luxury in is never wasted!
Jeffrey Nevil writes on a number of subjects including place cards.
