The Tug Of War Between Shower Curtains Or Glass Shower Enclosures

Who is going to win?

Could it be the Shower curtain?

Cast your mind back a lttle bit and picture the actual scene. You jump in the shower and as you are lathering soap all over yourself, the shower curtain blows in and sticks on you. Now we have a battle between you and the curtain. Let's face it who is actually the lawful occupant of the little shower cubicle, you or the curtain?

And finally you're all squeeky clean and out you step straight into a big puddle of water. Oh dear, not again! You didn't think to make sure that the shower curtains were tucked inside the shower, rather than the outside, dripping water all over the bath room floor! With any luck you do not slip as well, landing on 'you know what'.

Well those are most of the downsides I'm able to think of right now, but fortunately there's two positives I've got to mention.

Shower curtains can also serve as an emergency covering when you find yourself without a bath towel in the bathroom. You truly don't wish to run down the passage totally starkers!

Another appealing point about shower curtains is that they are far less expensive when compared with glass shower enclosures.

Or will Glass Shower Enclosures be the winner in the debate?

To begin with, glass enclosures keep the water exactly where it belongs, which is, inside the shower cubicle!

Today's glass shower enclosures are extremely well manufactured and sealed that every manufacturer is very proud of the indisputable fact that water won't leak out on the bathroom floor.

They're very easy to keep clean. I don't think anybody needs reminding of all the mold which sticks so easily to shower curtains. What a breeding ground perfect for mildew and mold to flourish! Then there is the actual hassle to keep them nice and clean.

The beauty of contemporary glass shower enclosures is that the glass used has a unique covering. This covering helps to protect the actual glass from getting damaged and also repels water. Yippee! Forget about brainless scrubbing to get the shower sparkling clean. As the glass repels water and moisture, there's no place for any mildew or mold to stick to.

Those days are gone of a small, dark shower being tucked into the corner. Most shower manufacturers are more than willing to custom make any shape whatsoever even if it is a sloping shape to adjust to into a loft area. Shape is not a trouble. And if there is definitely no room for a standalone shower, you can get a glass shower enclosure to install round the bathtub. Trouble solved!

Should you be refurbishing your bathroom, even better. Go wild and make the shower as large as you are able. Why not a shower designed for two! Now that could be exciting.

Nowadays, many people have a preference for showering. Maybe it's a time factor, or maybe it is just so more enjoyable to be in a shower of water.

To balance the tug of war, between shower curtains and glass shower enclosures I've got to think of at least one negative point of glass enclosures. All I'm able to think of is probably the cost, but hey, I really don't believe that's a real issue once you think of every one of the splendid advantages to a glass shower enclosure!

The result is ... undeniably, Glass Shower Enclosures!
