Permanent Make Up Training

by Jeffery Nevil(130) Red Star

Permanent makeup is a form of micropigmentation. The procedure is a medical form of tattooing; as such there is a wide range of medical skill required for the proper application of treatments. Training in these various aspects is how these medical skills are developed before being put into practice. This training will normally take the form of workshops or courses, which focus on specific aspects of micropigmentation and will be completed over a period of time in order for a student to develop a comprehensive knowledge of permanent makeup, and practice enough to develop an adequate level of proficiency.

There a variety of places in which offer this kind of training, often they are linked to the suppliers of equipment. The supplying of equipment, and often detailed support and information as well as repair services, means that companies who do this sort of thing will have extensive expertise - so there is a natural progression toward offering training courses and diplomas for these kinds of companies. Such permanent make up training will often be divided up into specific classes, as mentioned previously. An example of a particular course or class may be tattoo removal. This course, as its name implies, will centre almost entirely on micropigmentation for the removal of tattoos. There may be classes to cater for the application of permanent make up on the lips or eyebrows too for example. Such specific courses of training will be undertaken after an introductory course or training session.

Some training will centre on providing a taster day for newcomers to the field, or those who are interested in becoming permanent makeup technicians who want to gain a firmer grasp of how the various processes work. As the field is expanding and growing, as well as improving through technological advancements, there is a need for certified technicians to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments. As a result, a refresher course may be offered by those providing the training in order to educate, inform and improve those who are already certified to carry out the application of permanent make up. This allows those already involved in the field to brush up on their skills, as well as meet with each other and learn as a group.

Other specialised courses focussed on areola reconstruction, eyeliner application, burns or scar treatment and many others will be offered to provide a complete and comprehensive training scheme for those looking learn the trade permanent make up.
