In a recent survey about five hundred professionals were asked how many of them were offered the opportunity to work abroad in the last two years. The result showed that about 57% of them were offered a position abroad out of which 20% actually moved. Some declined the opportunity due to family reasons and some actually found the idea of moving abroad too stressful.

Over the past eighteen months there have been speculations over a large number of people leaving UK to pursue career opportunities abroad. About quarter of the self-employed people in the UK would move abroad in the next five years due to tax rises. They feel that moving abroad will give them a better opportunity to expand their empire. The most popular destinations are Australia and New Zealand, the Survey reveals. However moving to different countries in Asia, Middle East or EU is quite popular as well.

Moving abroad for work can be quite stressful, especially for some who don't want to move to a certain county but have to for a fantastic career opportunity. However, this can be most stressful for people with families. The survey shows that a substantial percentage of people between the age of 25 and 45 move abroad with their families. However, very few corporates have a policy in place to respond to the needs of the family and children of people moving to a different country.

In case of moving abroad it is very important to plan everything meticulously and make lots of lists. You need to make sure that you have all the paperwork at hand. Try to read and make yourself familiar with the culture and the customs of the country you are moving to. It is also very important to choose the right removal company who already have a lot of experience in International removals. Also make sure that you have your accommodation ready by the time you arrive there with your family.

Moving abroad can be the most stressful for children. They have to cope with the stress of getting accustomed to a whole new environment, new time zone, new food, new culture and separation from friends. It is very important to discuss your child's educational needs, like schools and colleges with your employer before you move.

In spite of all this, moving abroad is not all that bad. It opens up the door to new opportunities and gives you and your family a chance to explore a new culture and make new friends. If you are organised and choose the correct removal company who will make sure that your international removal takes place smoothly, moving abroad can be a lot less stressful and actually fun experience.
