Barbados, the Stress Free Wedding and Honeymoon Destination
by Jack Jones(27)
Do you dream of getting married on a white sandy beach with a backdrop of turquoise seas and palm trees? I have travelled the world sharing my experiences of exceptional wedding and honeymoons destinations, personally I would recommend couples to spend their wedding and honeymoons in Barbados, it’s a dream getaway for those who are seeking a scenic wedding ceremony which is relatively simple and stress free to organise and won’t cost the you earth.
We all know how difficult and daunting planning a wedding can be, with so much to think about and organise, which is why so many people choose to have their wedding abroad to avoid these strains. A wedding abroad does remove several strains from planning and organising the wedding but with having the wedding abroad brings new problems into consideration such as getting your guests to the wedding and having to reduce the number of wedding guests. But what’s important to remember is that it’s your wedding day and that you should do whatever you wish to make it a special and memorable occasion. There is of course the option of having a celebratory meal or having another ceremony when you get back to the UK so that those who couldn’t make it to your wedding will be able to join in the celebrations of your love for one another. Or you could of course have your ceremony in the UK and then simply head off to Barbados for your honeymoon.
The easy going mentality on the island means that there is very little red tape to go through, which means that you can easily pick up a wedding licence and exchange vows in less than twenty four hours on a beautiful sandy beach, in a traditional Caribbean church or at a number of first class venues. With no residency requirements, getting married on Barbados is a breeze to get married.
The idyllic west coast of the island is a very popular destination for those seeking sun, sea and sand on their wedding day. Barbados is well known for its glamorous hotels and restaurants, with a wedding or honeymoon on the island it can be as relaxed or as glamorous as you like. Some resorts offer wedding and honeymoon packages, including flowers, cake, the ceremony and even some bubbly.
Barbados has an excellent climate all year round, with their being no bad time to visit Barbados with the average yearly temperature never falling below 20 degrees. The only month you may wish to avoid is July as it tends to rain for 18 days, but aside from that it is the perfect destination to visit. If you carry a British passport you don’t require a visa to get into the country and it only takes around nine hours to fly over there. The currency over there is the Barbadian dollar which has a current rate of £1 being the equivalent of 3.2 Barbadian dollars.
No matter where you decide to go for your honeymoons holiday, just remember to enjoy planning it and to savour each and every moment whilst your there.
