by Jack Jones(27)
Romance is not only in the air it’s a vital component in your honeymoon ideas. The choice of where you go on honeymoon will ultimately depend upon you and your personal preferences but I’m confident that my honeymoon ideas will inspire your dreams and will help to make them a reality. There are so many incredible destinations around the world to choose from, from an indulgent beach holiday in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, to your own private villa with private pool in a luxury game lodge in the heart of the African bush.
Asia offers an exotic mixture of cultures and romantic white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, amazing cuisine and some of the world’s finest hotels. One of the most popular choices for a honeymoon is Asia is South East Asia, with its eclectic mixture of cosmopolitan cities, seaside and countryside intertwined with a culture steeped in history. I would recommend sharing your honeymoon between one or two different countries such as Thailand and Laos, giving you two very unique experiences in Asia.
Africa and the Indian Ocean offer a combination of adventure mixed with relaxation and is one of the most popular honeymoon ideas for most couples. As they seek to have a memorable honeymoon experience such as a safari and combine it with indulgence and relaxation in the form of a romantic beach holiday. A popular safari beach combination is a safari in Tanzania combined with a beach holiday to Mauritius. Tanzania is now regarded very highly around the world with being ranked highly in the New York Times destinations of 2012 to visit and rising numbers of tourists.
Australia is perhaps a somewhat daunting prospect with the long flight (over 20 hours), but an easy solution to this is to stop over in Bangkok, Hong Kong or Singapore, taking in some culture and historical sites whilst recharging your batteries at the same time. Australia has all the ingredients for the perfect honeymoon, from snoozing on a tropical island to relaxing under the stars in the outback.
Tahiti and her islands are often referred to as paradise on earth with the islands inspiring many film makers and seducing a long line of artists and writers. The islands comprise of around 118 stunning islands, all unique to each other, each with their very own charm, with binding white sands, fringed palm trees and turquoise lagoons, diverse landscapes and lush vegetation.
Fiji is another idyllic location, located in the heart of the Pacific, Fiji is made up of around 333 magical islands, some of which are uninhabited and some are home to resorts and villages, it surely captures the essence of a tropical paradise with white sandy beaches, swaying coconut trees and pristine oceans. Fiji is home to some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts; it’s no wonder why so many ‘A list’ celebrities choose Fiji as their honeymoon destination.
