New Jobs In The Car Market

Move Forward
As the electric car trudges on and increases its presence in the car market, it brings many new occupations that require new hands to create these new vehicles. Because of the new technologies attendant to the design and creation of these new vehicles, a whole host of occupations have come to fore to help usher this into the future now.
The following are the newest jobs in the electric vehicle market:
Materials Engineer. The old kind of materials engineer in the internal combustion engine market was only to ensure that the vehicle is able to withstand the pressures to create the power to propel the vehicle. The new generation materials engineer would research, design and create new materials for high efficiency, reliability and safety for electric vehicles. Not only are they at the forefront of creating bodies and motors for electric cars, they also are responsible to create improved battery designs to provide electrical power to the new generation vehicles that would dominate the road in the near future.
Electric Vehicle Assembler. Because of the new technologies and designs that are being implemented in the electric car, a new breed of assembler needs to be on the job to make the design a reality. While it may seem that assemblers are just cogs in a factory line, the new generation of assemblers would perform lesser tasks of higher impact because of the smaller number of moving parts in electric cars. These individuals need not assemble the cars by hand but must be technically adept to manage and control robots and other machineries that would actually be building the electric cars of the future.
EV Maintenance Technician. Because electric vehicles use only electric vehicle or its counterpart hybrid uses both fuel and electric power, a new kind of car mechanic and technician needs to be available to provide after sales needs and maintenance requirements of these new vehicle technologies. This individual would at least have a mechanical background and great training regarding electric vehicle technology and troubleshooting. This should not be the exclusive realm of electric car makers but should be made available in areas where backyard mechanics have the ability to fill in the gaps, so to speak.
As can be seen, the new electric vehicle market is not just about sales and marketing of new products but a whole new infrastructure would be built to support the new vehicles on the road. This is where new experts are needed, such as materials engineers, electric vehicle assembler and electric vehicle maintenance technician to assist and improve the technology brought by the electric vehicle to the home.
