VoIP Adoption Is Reliant On Ease Of Setup

For a new technology to be adopted, the creators have to make it as easy as possible for people to use it. After all, migrating from a system which one is already familiar with isn't easy and there have to be significant benefits before people make the change. As far as telecommunication systems go, VoIP definitely offers huge benefits to both business and individual customers alike. Cost is important. So important in fact, that over 80% of business customers say that they use VoIP because it is cheaper. But it must also be mentioned that SIP VoIP is remarkably easy to setup and use.
Once you have selected your SIP provider, you need to obtain an SIP address for each and every one of your employees. With a company like OnSIP for example, you can use your own domain name for your SIP address to make it look exactly like the e-mail ID of your employees. This makes it easy and convenient for everyone to call a member of your company if they already have their e-mail address.
Also just like e-mail, you need an "SIP client" in order to receive the calls from the SIP provider or the ITSP (Internet Telephone Service Provider). This SIP client will be a program which is installed either on your computer or your smart phone, or comes inbuilt into the VoIP phone which you purchase. In some situations, the ITSP itself will provide the SIP client as an application via a download through the Android or iPhone marketplace for your smart phone. Such an SIP client will be configured to work perfectly with your particular SIP provider and will come with all the important settings inbuilt.
And that's all that is really needed! Go into to your SIP provider dashboard and set up an account for each of your employees. All of them will get their own individual telephone number at which they can be reached. Once you know what your VoIP telephone number is, simply fire up your SIP client and make sure that it's configured correctly. You will now be able to make and receive your Internet calls using the SIP client just as if it was your phone's native dialer.
The simplicity of setting up an SIP client is critical because you're able to make and receive telephone calls even from those who are using the traditional PSTN system. This allows 100% interoperability with any phone network in the world. Also remember that international calls are several orders of magnitude cheaper with VoIP.
The ease of use combined with the lower cost and impressive features is what is propelling VoIP into offices and businesses every day. The rate of adoption is astronomical and shows no sign of stopping in the future.
