A Greenhorn In Tobacco Smoking - Know The Basics About Cigars
by John Smith(24)
You will find people smoking cigars - and as you look at them, you will recognize the pleasure they are having for every puff that they make. For many years, the cigar is a symbol of a celebration - the birth of a son. Soon that a son comes out to his new world, the proud father starts distributing cigars to his friends, relatives and associates. It is a sign of blissful accomplishment. But do you know how to choose a cigar?
For whatever reason cigars are used - smoked or other ways, this is a luxury to many. It is different from smoking cigarettes although they both are made from tobacco. A novice cigar puffer will have many questions in mind. How he should hold the tobacco or how to choose the right and great thing needs to be learned.
Cigars are cut - and you should know how to do this. There are millions of ways to cut a cigar. Where should you cut and with what instrument do you need to cut it? In slicing this tobacco product, there is a general rule to follow. You have to cut it just past its shoulder. This is the part where it stops being round.
Maybe it is important for you to know the different compositions of a cigar. Unlike its little brother cigarette, the bigger tobacco stuff has a more sophisticated composition. It has three defined parts - the filler, the binder and the wrapper. The filler is the soul of the cigar. This is stuffed in the middle and it is basically what a cigar is filled with. The binder is composed of thick tobacco leaves. As its name states, it will bind together the filler. The wrapper is the leaf that you see - the outside tobacco, its wardrobe. This is very important in that this provides the flavor of the cigar and it holds everything intact.
Lighting a cigarette has its own style. You just have to hold it out allowing the flame of the match or lighter to be in touch with its end. Rotate the cigar so that the whole end becomes charred as evenly as possible. When lighted, you can start puffing, not inhaling but - only until its half. As you puff, be sure to be on the guard to the length of the produced ash. The ash will block the air, decrease the temperature and slow down the burning of the cigar. All these factors will intensify the taste to make your smoking experience enjoyable. Once you have smoked halfway, you can let it die.
Now that you know many things about cigar, your next problem is to find a reputable dealer. Once you have found a steady cigar dealer, buying this will come naturally. As you conclude your basic lessons on this new habit, remember always that the color of this tobacco product matters; the darker the tobacco, the stronger is its flavor.
