Fun Football Trophies

It is a dream of many to lift prestigious football trophies above their head after a sporting competition however, this will not happen for everyone. That said, every level of footballer enjoys winning something, even if it's just a bit of silly fun. A prize giving event is usually a jovial affair and should be light hearted whether it is held at a social club or a high brow restaurant. Here, we've come up with a few ideas for some fun football trophies.

Team Member of the Year

This trophy will be awarded to the person who has made the most impressive plays or has made the most goals throughout the season. The one who has put that little bit of extra effort in. So one of the most special football trophies surely has to be a faux-marble bottomed, golden plastic statue of a man solidly kicking a ball. With a trophy like this you will respected by your team mates as it represents power, skill and achievement. Even if your trophy is not made out of the finest materials, it will still be important and shiny and will look good in your trophy cabinet.

The Responsible One

You will find one of these players on almost every sports team. The ones who make that special effort for the team such as never missing a session and going out of their way to help will be the ones who are up for this award. Although not one of the most prestigious awards, these people play a vital part in a team and need to be recognised for this. A fun way to present this would be a a Baywatch style life float. Why? Well, as the theme tune says: "I'll be there, forever and always, I'm always here."

The Comedian

It is always fun to award the person who has kept the team spirits up throughout the season. This is where you crack out the really fun football trophies. This is the person who's got all the great banter - when you're nine-nil down at half time, in the middle of a blizzard, with your best players suffering from hypothermia - this cheeky chappy will always come out with the one-liner that lifts everyone's spirits. Even if you do end up getting thrashed 20-0. You could carry the theme on with a joke trophy, perhaps with a picture of One Direction. Just make sure it is something embarrassing to add an extra bit of humour to the award ceremony. Perfect for the class clown.
