Find the Time, Energy, and Materials to Scrapbook
by Madison Hewerdine(1)
Finding the time, energy and materials to scrapbook can be a difficult task at times. Getting all the materials together alone can be like trying to put together social studies lesson plans because there are so many different things you could use. Finding the time to do anything gets harder as your life gets busier and finding the energy can be difficult when you are running around doing other things as well. The timing and energy can take time to figure out, not to mention the cost of the materials. So how can you figure out the timing, energy, cost, etc?
Here are some tips that can help you with the time, and the energy it takes to scrapbook; along with the supplies, and the costs of scrapbooking.
· Give Scrapbooking a higher rank. For those who rank the things you have to do for the day by writing down what you have to do in order of importance, or for those who keep a mental list, give scrapbooking a higher importance. If you want to get more scrapbooking done you have to give it a higher importance than doing things like watching T.V. To find time to scrapbook you have to determine how much time it is worth to you and whether or not it is more important than other things you want to do each day.
· Schedule it in. As it was said on the last bullet, you have to figure out how much time you want to spend on scrapbooking. However, once you figure out how much time you want to spend, you have to schedule it in. Pencil it in or make a mental note of the time you are going to set aside just to do some scrapbooking.
· Create a page pile. For each page you scrapbook there is bound to be many materials involved. You might use; decal scissors, three different types and colors of paper, tape or glue, pictures, stickers, markers, pens, and stamps all on one page. Creating a page pile means you take all the materials you are going to use for a single page and put it in a pile. You can make two or three page piles then when you are ready to get to work everything you need is right there in your pile.
· Shop for materials with a list. If you have ever been inside a store with scrapbooking supplies you know that it is very tempting to just wander around looking at all of the fun things you can use while scrapbooking. However, because many people do not have the money to buy all the things they see and like it is a good idea to go with a list of the things you wish to buy.
· Keep it clean. Keep scrapbooking fun by keeping your scrapbooking table, area or supplies neat and clean.
