First of all, think about how you can separate yourself from the crowd. What are most guys doing with their internet dating profiles? I would even go so far as to recommend that you check out profiles of other men near you, and see what you're up against. Are there any similarities between the profiles?

You'll find that many of them either write very little, or offer their entire life story - presumably in the hope that a woman will see a bit of it that she likes. They tend to try and not be too controversial because they worry that any strong viewpoints will put girls off. Putting it simply , they are trying to appeal to everybody.

The reality is that you don't actually want to appeal to everybody (it's impossible). Doesn't it make more sense to market yourself to the women who you would actually enjoy the company of in real life? So you want to describe yourself as specifically and accurately as possible.

They try and impress her with cool stories about all the amazing things they've done, people they know, the car they drive, the money they earn...etc. Doing things this way takes you from a place of insecurity, where you feel that you always have to desperately try and impress, to a place where you just think 'I will put myself out there, warts and all, and let the chips fall where they may'.

Remember also that it's a numbers game. This doesn't mean you need to spam every girl in town with the same email. It means that if you're an average looking guy, you might still only get less than 50% responses from girls that you email.

And finally, be willing to experiment. If some thing isn't working for you, why would you keep on doing it?
