The apprentice is great TV and undoubtedly Lord Alan Sugar is a top notch businessman. His fortune of around 730 million pounds is an incentive for anyone to follow his example and do well in the business world. After growing up in a council house in Hackney and being the youngest if 5, Lord Alan aspired to being one of Britain biggest success stories. He founded his own electronics company called Amstrad, set up in 1968 and from then his pot of money grew and grew, he co-purchased Tottenham Football Club in 1991 and sold it 10 years later. The apprentice started in 2005 and since then he has emerged as a very popular media personality.
