Angle grinders are highly versatile pieces of equipment. They can be utilized in a variety of different situations, so that different jobs can be done.

This versatility lies with the function and size of angle grinders. Since they are highly portable and feature a spinning edge, they can be utilized to fill different roles, based on the attachments that are utilized and the job that needs to be done.

As stated, the size of the equipment is one of its greatest strengths. While other pieces of tools are much larger is scope and have to be mounted in order to be effective, the angle grinder can be used by hand.

It does no weight at much, and can be easily applied by hand, making it very flexible and versatile in function. Additionally, the light weight allows for a greater degree of control to be applied to different jobs.

All that is required in order to use one is a pair of goggles, protective gloves, and an extension cord. Angle grinders are also highly useful because they can run on normal currents from normal sockets.

There is no need for high capacity cords or air hoses with this piece of equipment. With a simple extension cord, people can get work done in an effective and efficient capacity.

The variability of the equipment is also present with its attachments. Based on the job that needs to be done, the attachments can be swapped out on the fly in order to fill certain roles.

Another strength of the angle grinder is the ease of swapping out these attachments on the fly. Each unit comes with a special tool that can pop off the head of the equipment, allowing for exchanges to happen in a matter of seconds.

This makes changing up roles in the middle of a job possible and effective. Essentially, the tool can function in the capacity of several different tools, mitigating the need for certain other pieces of equipment.

This means that in the end, the angle grinder is cheaper than having several different tools that need to be purchased. The convenience and savings that are associated with it make it well worth it.

The types of attachments that are available bear noting. The usual attachment is that of the grinding wheel.

This is a hardened composite wheel that is meant to grind and smooth metal. This function is perfect for removing edges from metal, cleaning up welds, and angling the metal in a specific direction.

Essentially, metal can be shaped in small ways with this attachment. In a shop setting, this function is invaluable in nature.

Slim pieces of metal can also be cut by angling the adage of the attachment in a vertical fashion. When a quick cut through thin pieces of metal is needed, this attachment is a great one to have.

It allows the user to either repair of fix or clean up their work as they go. It can be done quickly, so that the person can get back to work as fast as they can.

The next attachment for the angle grinder is that of the sander. The sander head works by scouring and smoothing different areas.

This is a great function if one wants to paint something, or they wish to bevel an edge after a weld. It can be used any time that an edge needs to be flattened and smoothed out.

Wire brushes can also be attached to the equipment. These spin around very fast in circular fashion.

Wire brushes can be used to clean up metal in preparation for a weld, and to polish things up in general. The high speeds afforded by the equipment makes this a powerful function that the equipment has.

Cutting blades can also be put on. These blades are serrated in nature, so that either wood or metal can quickly be cut through.

All of the different functions of the equipment give it its strength. Variability is a useful trait to have on the job.

Angle grinders are highly adaptable and usable pieces of equipment. Depending on the attachments that are used and the job that need to be done, it can be utilized to fill a wide variety of roles.
