If you're looking for the best way to Learn Starcraft 2 then I have a few tips that should help you get started. There are two main methods that I'm going to go over, and I guarantee that if you follow these suggestions you will be owning in no time, way ahead of your competition.
The First Method is to Watch Recorded Games
I can't stress how much these recorded games have helped others to learn the ropes of how the experts play. The key here is really knowing which ones to watch, and what to look for.
It's really easy to watch them and just be entertained - but you should be watching intently and seeing what they do and when they do it (I suppose as well as how, but that can be difficult sometimes if you can't tell whether they clicked or hotkeyed - I always assume they use hotkeys, and so should you.)
Things to Look For
In a recorded game you should look for a build order that they use, what they go for first, what units they make, and their overall strategy. If you can see their "macro" strategy (what they do overall,) vs their different individual tactics (micro,) you'll be able to copy their playstyle and use it yourself.
Again, you're going to have different strategies at play.
Special Tip: The most important things to try and copy would be how they respond. When they are being attacked, what is the first thing they do? What's the second thing? You need to copy these habits. If you can copy it from experts that succeed, you will succeed soon enough. Make sense?
The Second Method: Using A Step by Step Gudie To Learn How You Can Dominate Each SC2 Battle With Ease
This is the better way in my opinion. If you don't want to go and watch recorded games, write down what they do, and try copy it - you can just read what they write instead. For instance, instead of looking at a recorded game and seeing that they made XYZ, and did ABC, you can just read a guide that tells you that. Basically you will have the work done for you and the experts have written these guides to give you the edge.
A guide like this gives you:
* Terran, Zerg and Protoss Strategy Guides
* 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 Strategy Guides
* Campaign Guides
* Unit Guides
* Build Orders For All Races
* Map Editor Guides
* Step By Step Videos
* And Lots Of More Strategies
