Emotional Affair

Emotions have always been a critical element in human beings. They function as warning signals. When you are wounded, you feel pain. Pain tells you that there is something wrong in your body. Without the painful emotion, you would not notice your wound. You would leave your wound untreated and may get worst. Virus would infect your open wound. You will suffer a viral disease and possibly die.

However, an excess of painful emotion would also most likely kill you. An excessive painful emotion could trigger your fear. Fear, in turn, would prevent you not treat your wound. It will leave your wound to viruses, infection and possibly kill you.

Emotions, both the lack and excess of it, could possibly kill you. Being too attached to emotions or emotional is harmful. Being too detached to emotions or indifferent is also harmful. If you cannot manage your emotions, then they could really kill you.

This also applies to marriage. An emotional affair (and un-emotional, too) will possibly kill you.

a, If you were too jealous with your spouse's colleagues, then you would most likely lose faith or trust in your marital relationship. Faith or trust is an essential value in marriage. Losing it would destroy your marriage.

b, If you were too emotionally self-centered of your ambitions, then you would most likely forget your spouse and family. You would be selfish. You would stop seeking your spouse's interest anymore. You would be indifferent to the needs of your children. You would eventually lose your family.

c, If you were in an emotional affair with another woman or man, then you would most likely lose commitment and love towards your spouse.

Emotional affair (and un-emotional, too) should be balanced and managed. Ensure emotions would not head to extremes. Though emotions are potentially harmful, they are helpful in telling us the real situations.
