Gifting Christmas Flowers and Plants: A Few Thoughts

by Christina Nielson
Jackman's Fresh Flowers

The Christmas holidays are a perfect time to send beautiful, fresh flowers to your loved ones. Christmas plants, flowers and wreaths can make a wonderful gift for clients and business colleagues, too.  While everyone enjoys a fresh bouquet of flowers throughout the year, the Christmas holidays are a time when certain plants and flowers are favoured over others.  The most popular Christmas flowers include Poinsettia, Christmas Cactus, Christmas Rose, and traditional Christmas Wreaths.

For many, the Poinsettia is a cherished symbol of the holiday season that adds the perfect festive touch to the Christmas holiday season.  In the right temperature and conditions, the Poinsettia has been known to grow over four feet tall.  What a magical sight that would be during the Christmas holidays!  In some circles, the Christmas Poinsettia is almost as important as the Christmas Tree.  The Poinsettia is one of the most popular Christmas Flowers in the world today.

The Christmas Cactus plant, on the other hand, is very popular gifts over the holidays too.  The Christmas Cactus plant is known to last for a very long time, which makes them an appealing Christmas holiday gift idea.  With the proper care, a Christmas Cactus plant will continue to bloom Christmas after Christmas for many years to come.  Without a doubt, the Christmas Cacti is a gift that is meant to last.

Christmas Roses are absolutely delightful flowers, too.  With beautiful while flowers above lush, green foliage, the Christmas Rose is a much-loved Christmas flower.  It is also one of the few flowers that bloom during the winter months, making it well suited for Christmas holiday gift giving.  Ironically, the Christmas Rose is not a member of the Rose family; it's actually a perennial plant known as Helleborus niger.  Christmas Roses certainly do make a lovely gift.

Christina Nielson can't hardly wait for the holidays!  When she isn't busy helping people learn more about online flower delivery or how to send christmas flowers, she can be found singing Christmas carols with her friends and loved ones.  Merry Christmas, everyone!
