What's the location of Tropical North Queensland? Australia contains this area in it's Eastern part of the country, with two unbelievable areas, the wet tropics and the Great Barrier Reef, these are World Heritage desigated places. The tropics are a beautiful natural habitat that provides home for all of the unique animals who live here, it has a peaceful feel for those who visit. Divers love diving on the Great Barrier Reef, it provides an unbelievable amount of space for them to wander around.

What is the weather like? The weather throughout Australia is incredible year round with about 300 days of sunshine and temperatures that average around 70 degrees year round it is an outdoor paradise with many activities that are reliant on the incredible temperatures in this region.

Transportation availability? Flying into the region is typical but you also have the opportunity to ride the train if you don't want to rent a car. There are shuttles available with most of the hotels in the area along with a proliferation of taxis and buses for movement. What should you see? Well, obviously it is a beautiful region, but some of the things that should definitely be included on a trip to the TNQ a trip to historic Cooktown, Mission Beach and Mareeba. Three places that you will definitely will want to take in each region offer a different look at the culture and history of the region. In addition, Cairns is a great place to spend the day, one of the biggest cities in the region it will provide you with a great day of shopping and dining.

Island visits? Try to visit the islands, the most popular are located right off the coast, Green Island is one of the more popular for a daytrip. But there are also Fitzroy Island and Dunk Island, all of these locations are very hospitable for visitors.
