by Jen Barnum

Most couples who divorce cite problems with financial management, infidelity, child rearing and problems with their families of origin as the main sources of stress that have added to the dissolution of their marriage. The advantage of looking at how to handle these problems in advance is the ability to work on your problem solving skills together. Doing this in advance of taking that walk down the aisle, can go a long way in helping you to learn to work on the issues together.
Most premarital counseling offers situations that you must work out together, allowing you to really test your abilities to function as a couple when adverse situations arise.
