If you are anything like I was when I first decided to give birth naturally you may be feeling completely overwhelmed with conflicting information on the internet, in books and from your friends and family you may even be scared and nervous about your ability to actually achieve a natural child birth. Well, if this sounds like you then you are in the right place. If you're still not sure about natural childbirth, I invite you to consider the following information with an open mind. You would be well served by challenging negative thoughts and doubt, and embracing this amazing responsibility that we as woman are given. The truth is that giving birth naturally can be the most euphoric and fulfilling opportunities that you as a woman will be blessed to experience. By giving birth unmedicated, you are not only allowing yourself to go through all of the incredible physical and emotional stages of labor and delivery, you are also giving your child the best possible start to life. Bringing your baby into the world naturally allows for those first precious moments to be the way they are supposed to be exciting, filled with overwhelming joy and emotion, not overshadowed by mind-altering drugs that can leave you feeling disconnected and "out-of-it".

Mothers who choose to have a natural childbirth are avoiding all of the unnatural and often unnecessary interventions that have been proven to be potentially dangerous to you and your infant. Women have been giving birth the way Nature intended for thousands of years, it has only been very recent that all of these medical techniques and procedures have been used.

Although you may feel overwhelmed with all of the with conflicting information on the internet, in books and from your friends and family. And you may even be scared or nervous about your ability to actually achieve a natural child birth, I encourge you to consider all of the amazing benefits of natural childbirth for both you and your new baby.

Colleen,

I am very small; my babies were very big. In both instances, doctors had to cut in an area I can't even mention to get them out. Natural childbirth just isn't for everybody!
