The Protesters are Racist

by Kenneth Brown

Whats happening today in the town hall debates on healthcare isn't a debate at all. It needs to be called what it is RACISM.

These so-called Protesters formed groups around the country called the tea party. They said Obama was in the process of raising our taxes. When that turned out to be a joke, they became the birthers.

Then those same racist are saying Obama wasnt born in the United States. Even though Obamas birth certificate was available for everyone to see, it didn't matter. Birthers went on television saying Obamas birth certificate was forged. When some were asked if they had seen his birth certificate they said no. When they were asked if they wanted to see it they said no. When they were asked how the newspaper in his birth place could make the announcement of his birth at his birth so far in advance; it didn't matter.

Now these same racist are saying Obama is a liar, is going to kill seniors, take away their health care, socialize health care and Obama is a Nazi. When interviewed they claim to be protesting out of their love for America and the American way of life.

But where was their love for America and Americas way of live over the past eight years? During those eight years George Bush told us Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, which was untrue, Iraq was in bed with Al Queda, which was false, Iraq had a nuclear weapons program, which was a lie and as a result we were misled into an unnecessary war that took the lives of over 4000 of Americas sons and daughters. He also ran the economy into the ground, lost millions of jobs, violated the Constitution, committed crimes against humanity and international law and signed a pharmaceutical benefit program that was designed and created by the pharmaceutical industry for the pharmaceutical industry. All this was okay with these lovers of America because during this activity they were as quite as a mouse. But what has them pissed off is Obamas attempt to have health care for all Americans.

History is simply repeating itself. The same activity took place during the debates of the Civil Rights legislation in the sixties. Anyone who thinks racism is a thing of the past because Obama was elected President needs to take a few days to get sober. The so-called health care reform protesters are carrying signs and yelling Death to Obama. What does death to Obama have to do with disagreeing with reforming health care? Some of the protesters are carrying posters with a picture of Obama looking like Hitler. What does his looking like Hitler have to do with health care reform? There is a protesting website that claims the health care reform Obama is suggesting is really a back door for reparations. How does reparations enter the debate?

President Obama hosted a town hall meeting in New Hampshire on health care. At that meeting the secret service apprehended a man with a knife. A search of this mans truck revealed an unlicensed fully loaded semi-automatic pistol. Why would this or any person take a knife and a unlicensed fully loaded semi-automatic pistol to a health care debate.

David Scott of Georgia supports health care reform and he received a fax that used the N word. What does the N word have to do with health care reform? At one health care debate there was an effigy of Obama being hung. What does Obama being hung have to do with disagreeing with health care reform? At another so-called debate a woman was recorded saying, I want my America back. She sounded more like a Native American than she did a European. But how is health care reform taking away her America?

Lets call it what it is. Its Racism. Its all about America having a black President.

You are certain to get some flack by writing this, but you are calling a spade a spade. These old white people have allowed themselves to be manipulated by their fear and hatred to the point where they dont even make sense when they talk.

Did you see the interview with the 70 year old guy who said Obama wants to provide health care for those who dont work, on the backs of those who do work. The reporter then asked him if he was receiving medicare benefits, and he said of course. He never even stopped to consider that he was the one not working, receiving health care benefits which are heavily subsidized by working Americans.

These people dont really have anything against nationalized health care. They just dont want to share their nationalized health care with others that they deem unworthy.

When all the evidence is viewed through an objective lens, we should be able to see the racism endemic in many of these "protests." Thank you for your honesty and clarity.

This sucks. I never knew I hated black people so much, but this article pretty much summed it up. I guess i'll go dig up some old sheets and find out when my next local clan meeting is. I wonder if they let mexican's in these days.

But seriously, there are plenty of protesters that are not only "not racist", but minorities themselves. Many of them are libertarians (like myself), who on principle refuse to judge people by groups based on skin color. We were with you fighting against Bush's war, but now we are against you on the vast expansion of government run healthcare.

Most people would consider taking the actions of a few, and projecting that onto the many an act of prejudice. And while, I have a feeling you find your position far to convenient to reconsider, I sincerely ask that you reconsider you broad assertion that the protesters are all racist. Belief in limited government and personal responsibility is not a belief specific to race.

The thing is the people around me say the same thing. They aren't racist, they just believe in limited government. Then they go on an make excuses for why they supported George Bush when he expanded government. And exploded the deficit. And spoke to school children. And lied to America (numerous times.) And looked the other way when corporations robbed America blind. And crashed the economy. And bailed out private companies. And violated the constitution by spying on Americans. And broke federal and international law by supporting torture. And changed the law to allow credit card companies to prey on the financially vulnerable. And weakened laws protecting minorities from discrimination. And refused court orders. And on, and on.

And then there's the stupid rumors.  Obama's part of a Muslim sleeper-cell.  He's a socialist.  He wants to punish white people and force them to make reparations. He pals around with terrorists.  He's signed a bill to allow 500,000 members of Hamas to emigrate to the U.S. He's not even a U.S. citizen.  He wants to kill old people.  Eventually any sane person would have to wonder what would possess a group of people to make them so gullible.  They have to be filled with unimaginable fear, hatred or bigotry, or maybe all 3.

Then these people call into radio talk shows and send emails and write letters to their local newspapers and leave comments talking about how they only want limited government because everything the government does sucks.  Then they get in their trucks with a ribbon on back that says "We support our troops!"  They really didn't think that one through.

Pretty soon we're not left with many other options than to believe what they really disapprove of is the color of our current Presidents skin.  I certainly didn't hear them protesting or believing such hog-wash when a white President was in office.

The fact is, the people around me don't see it. And neither do you.
