Mounting is a little difficult, taking it off and putting it back on the windshield. The detour route function is not great. The retail package comes with a windshield mount, an adhesive disk for dash mount, a auto power adapter, reference guide, and USB cable.

Still, with the features that it is packed with, it is still a good navigational system for the money. Also, there is no AC adapter included, so you have to charge it in the car. The Maestro 3000 models all have touch screen navigation menus which allow destinations to be entered by text or selection of a point of interest. Both 2D and 3D map views are available for on-screen navigation directions. If you're driving at night, the LCD uses an Auto Night mode feature to adjust the color and contrast levels for a more sightful display. I would rather not re enter all my waypoints because quite often, the mapping software is inaccurate sometimes this happens, so I just save the correct waypoint. My Magellan produces a logical .dat file which can be opened in notepad. It's a real headache stopping the car unfolding the OS map and working out precisely where you are. When I saw the advertisement for the new device, featuring Magellan's topographical UK map, I thought this is it, a bit expensive, but just what I've been waiting for.
