This was the best thing I ever did for my dogs. Well Worth Every Penny
I love my dogs very much. I'm sure you do as well. I'm writting this article to help out our beloved canine friends. To me, my dogs are considered family. I try my best to make sure they are comfortable and healthy, but sometimes I make the mistake of thinking that I'm doing everything right for my dogs, like in the food I was feeding them. I didn't realize that dog food companies could put just about whatever they wanted to in dog food.
One day while I was on the internet, I came across this report about the dangers of dog food. What I started reading shocked me, I had no idea how deadly some of these dog foods really are. So I purchased the report and read the entire report. Talk about getting an education in dog food and dog treats! I went to the dog food and treat packages to read over the ingredients. I was amazed at how much bad stuff was in there. I shouldn't have to tell you what I did next, but I'm going to. I threw out the dog food and treats and went shopping.
I went to one those super pet stores and started reading ingredient lables. First I read every ingredient lable on every dry dog food that was in the store. I also did the same thing with the wet food as well as the dog treats. I came up with one dog food that was free of the things you shouldn't give your dog. There were alot of them that still put this certain chemical in there dog food whether it is dry, wet or dog treats. This chemical was a vitamin substitute that was banned for consumption by humans, yet they never banned it for use in pet foods or pet treats. Some of the other ingredients weren't too good either.
A dog is a dog, but when it comes right down to it, a dog needs to eat healthy food just as much as we do. One of my dogs has a sensitive stomach, he would vomit once in a while. I thought well maybe he just wasn't feeling that well. My dog wasn't exactly vomiting right after he ate, it was later on. I'm sorry if this talk is making you a little nauseous, but his vomit was of a phlegm type substance and it was yellowish in color. He was like this for a long time. The Vets had no solution for this. Wouldn't you know it that after I found some decent dog food for my dogs, food free from those bad ingredients, that he stopped vomiting. I was so happy that my dog doing so well. I don't know what ingredients in the dog food was causing his stomach problems, but I do know that once I eliminated the bad ones he did well after that.
One day I noticed that my dogs were drinking excessive amounts of water. It seemed like every time I looked at their water bowl it was empty or close to it. I was kind of puzzled to see this because this was a warning sign related to this one chemical. There is a chemical that they talk about in this report that is deadly to a dog. Now I know that what I was feeding them was free of this chemical. So, I found out that my wife was giving them some treats that I didn't know about. I took one of the packages and read the ingredients and sure enough this one chemical was in there. I took the treats and threw them away, told my wife not to buy them any more treats and to only give them the treats I buy. It wasn't long after that the dogs drinking habits returned to normal. Luckily there wasn't any damage done. This chemical effects the liver, kidneys and other parts of the body.
I'm happy to say that my dogs are 14 years old and they get an A+ examination from the vet. The dog food I buy isn't super expensive. If you know what you are giving your dog, he live a long and happy life without costing you in vet bills. You have to look at it this way, you know what would happened to you if you ate the wrong food day in and day out. You would be seeing the doctor time and time again for your ailments from not eating a proper diet. I can't tell you what dog food would be good for your dog, but if you read this report you will be able to pick the right dog food that would be fit for your dog. They also have some great recipes on making your own dog food as well as treats for your dog.
I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am to the people involved in making this report.

Here's a couple of Tips:
If you feed your dog wet food, mash the food down so that it is spread out and flat. You see, dogs are impatient, they gulp there food down too fast. If you mash it down then they can only get a little at a time and also they will have to work a little to eat. This will help out with their digestive system.
Don't mix wet and dry dog food together. Dogs prefer wet food over dry food. So what happens is that the dog wants to gulp down the wet food so fast that the dog doesn't take the time to chew up the dry food. As a result they can become constipated, get gas (phew!) and also mess up their digestive system. This can cause your dog a great deal of pain.
Whenever you change your dog's brand of dog food, make sure that you introduce your dog to the new food gradually. Check with your vet for the proper procedure.
