A Mother's Gift

My Mom has given me many wonderful gifts over the years, but my favorite is a bathrobe she gave me on Christmas Day, 1988. The robe, made of silk, is soft and smooth to touch. The feel of the gentle fabric next to my skin envelopes me in warm, cuddly softness. The high collar reminds me of the classic Japanese kimono. Across the top and along the sleeves, dainty little white flowers sprinkle the soft floral color of lavender. The large scale paisley print, done in creamy colors of peach and aqua, embrace the body. Two side seam pockets allow ample room for tissues and other small personal items. The attached belt ties in the front. The delicate miniature white flowers are repeated on the bottom of the ankle-length robe, atop a bright pink border. This beautiful gift from my Mom is one that I plan to cherish for many years to come.

onnie in my home we know your sentiments. It is filled with things belonging to our family and loved ones who have gone. In fact my very e-mail address is dads. Each time I touch the keyboard I have him with me. Very nice article to hep with a tough season for many.
