High School Football Season: Football Fundraisers to Support the Team

High school football booster clubs are some of the most spirited, dedicated fundraisers. Many parents have been supporting their children in sports since elementary school and are excited for their kids to be playing sports at the high school level.

Some booster clubs plan fundraisers and spirit boosting events for the team all year. Others would like some fast fundraisers to add to the mix. Either way here are five fundraising ideas for your high school football booster club:

1. Concession stands are one of the most popular ways that football booster clubs raise funds. Most spectators want to purchase food and drinks at the games anyway, so this is a matter of giving people what they really want. Often the lines at the football game concession stand can be very long indeed!

2. Money saving promotions like discount cards are very popular in the community. Many school groups sell these cards that are valid for the entire school year. One of the great things about these kinds of promotions is that the school group can earn up to 90% of the face value of the discount card.

3. High school football players love fast food, especially pizza! A fast food day is a program where fast food or pizza places will donate a portion of proceeds to your team. Each restaurant chain has different guidelines for how these work so you’ll need to call the ones in your area to see what kind of deal they can offer your team. Sometimes you’ll get a special deal from the local manager or from a locally owned café.

4. High school students (and parents and siblings) like ice cream. So an ice cream social is another great food fundraiser! There are a variety of places that you can host the ice cream party. It could be at a pep rally, game or tournament. It could even be at a “5th Quarter" event after the football game.

5. One of the best football booster fundraisers is the sale of spirit items. Students, parents and fans can wear or use spirit items show their support. T-shirts, stadium seats, noisemakers and buttons are just a few of the popular spirit items.

These are just a few of the many fundraising options that high school football booster clubs can choose. Groups should evaluate all of the options to find the most effective and profitable fundraiser for their school. A free service that will help you do this is available at SuperFundraiser.com a site that will match your group with the best fundraising options available.
